Tryouts for the Texas Comets 91
will be held on Sunday April 15 at 1:00 at the Leander High
School softball field. I am looking forward to a very
competitive summer in the 18U age group. The Texas Comets 91 are
a 18U fastpitch Softball Travel team for the Summer 2007 team.
This team is well established and has qualified for a national
championship in every year of its existence including the ASA
'A' championships in 2006. This is a year round tournament level
softball team that will play and aggressive exposure oriented
schedule including the Colorado Fireworks and Easton Elite
college showcase tournaments. We also will attempt to qualify
for the ASA 'A' National championships for the second year in a
row.
We pride ourselves on teaching competitive softball skills along
with life lessons in team work, sportsmanship and personal
pride. Our organization has had incredible success with fund
raising and our parents/volunteers are second to none which has
kept our team costs very low. Our program makes annual donations
of time, service, and equipment to the RRSGSL such as the helmet
racks in the dugouts and our pre-sectional cleanup day. Our
currently scheduled practices are on Wednesdays and Sundays at
the Sertoma Old Settlers Park, Leander HS and Georgetown HS fields.
The Texas Comets 91 are a 16U fastpitch Softball Travel team for the
Fall 2005/Summer 2006 team. This team is well established and has
qualified for a national championship in every year of its
existence. This is a year round tournament level softball team that
will attend 1 to 2 tournaments per month (most of them in the Waco
to New Braunfels regional area, although trips to both Dallas and
Houston areas are on the agenda).

We'd like to thank all the parents for their dedication and commitment. We know you have to shuffle kids around, chase around to different ball parks, and drive all over the country side. Then there's the hotel stays, the expenses, and all that time spent sitting in the bleachers. Without your super-human efforts, none of this would be possible. THANK YOU!
